Friday 29th August
Fabulous day filming yesterday! Has it really reached this point? Am excited, worried, happy and sad all rolled into one. Where will this go and how will we 'ever' get this project to move forward (without the support of the REACT team that is). Hmmm. Ponder.
Anyway, the blog...
Well, we spent the first half of the day with the Goldsmith who very kindly let us use his studio space to get some great shots and an interview done. We are now officially IN LOVE with Advanced Jewel Craft and the wonderful work they've done. Big, big thank you! On a practical level, it was perfect timing too, it was 11oclock and it was raining...
We where oh so lucky! Not only did the sunshine appear (and stay, yikes) we also stumbled across the two most perfect of fans. Guess what? Not only were they happy to help us out with filming but they had also worked as extras too. Yay, experience and willingness - couldn't have asked for much more. I'll leave it to you to check out the film and see for yourself why they were 'just perfect!' Sneaky peak image here...
So, fighting our way through the crowd that had gathered around us, filming then turned to Ross. Ok, perhaps not quite a crowd but we definitely had a bit of an audience...honest.
Ross, who had been brilliantly patient all day, was to finally get to his bit. Thank you heavens for not pouring down on us at this very point. We were all exhausted. It had been a long day but Ross still managed to give a great interview - as fresh as a daisy! How does he do that? Note to self: ask.
We were missing one of our team so filming is not quite finished yet. It will continue back in Bristol, followed no doubt by some very skilful editing.
Yes, great day! Thanks so much really to Benjie for his very patient attitude to filming (the interview with me that is!) and Tom for being such a great Shepherd (but oh so much more than that)...and not forgetting our wonderful actors Libby and Stephen.
It's (almost) a wrap!
