We're about half way through the project now and the design work is still motoring along at STRAX. We have a great interdisciplinary team and are working over distance a lot of the time. I have learned a lot about games design from Alex and George on our team. Their brainstorm language is totally different that I conventionally hear in product design. When their creative juices are flowing they talk like kids, conjuring up an imaginary world, setting rules and limits... but all the time developing this thing we don't often talk about in 'straight' product design: ... the narrative... In games design this describes the whole core of concept and once shared and understood by all, allows the tangible design to move forward.... I now wish I had a recording of George and Alex speaking in those weeks November for my design recordings archive.
